Marihana And Tendinitis

"Where the Stars end of days ..?"

Ohohoh! You probably ignored, but now comes theatrical movie Kamui Gaiden based on the episode of Suguru.
potential course downloads are currently inaccessible, so I decided to "celebrate", or at least prepare a decent wait, watching another ninja movie based on a rather popular manga by Yu Koyama and long-lived (because you know in Italy is the author of Strength, Sugar! among others), Azumi .

The story of Azumi is set close to the end of the Sengoku period, a few years after the battle of Sekigahara, which saw the troops of Tokugawa victorious against Toyotomi's allies.
In a period where the forces are still many destabilizing and a peaceful future is quite uncertain, assassinate enemy daimyo for the profit of this or that daimyo is still the fastest way to achieve success.
Aware of this, after surviving his son on the battlefield and inspired by the words of Monaco Tenkai workers, plasterers, a samurai of the Tokugawa decides to raise ten orphans found during his wanderings and make an impeccable team of assassins. The boys grow up together with
Gessai as a guide (by them "affectionately" called "JII", which sounds much like "Old Man" or "Grandfather"), with little knowledge about the outside world but the clear objective to address an unspecified "Mission" for which they were born. At

eve of the fulfillment of this Mission, JII tests his protégés: a real murderess has a heart of steel and feels no human feelings, children are invited to team up with their favorite friend and then - kill him.
After initial shock and kill the children obey their friends: this is the first time Azumi kills someone with his sword technique, and its first victim Nachi, which was particularly close friend.

The next morning, the ninja Nagato Gessai delivers to the "Mission" by Tenkai: kill Nagamasa Asano, Kato Kiyomasa and Yukimura Sanada, the leaders who are currently the most dangerous enemies of Ieyasu.

But what is the real distinction between good and evil, and how readily distinguish what is right and what is wrong? Because the Mission, which should free the world from wars and bad people can not defend a village from marauders or help a wounded friend ..? After the moral contradiction
ennessima the company falls apart, and while Gessai, the cold and confused Ukiha Nagara decide to carry out their task, and the lively Azumi Hyuga decide to take an alternative route, but other enemies will be convinced of the contrary .
Azumi, now faced with the fact that he can not do nothing but fight to defend itself and the people dear to her, she decided to get together and go to the aid of Gessai, put in a terrible Kanbei situation windlass, faithful servant of Kiyomasa ...

relatively bad reviews I read of this film which, although not shine narrative originality, it is still a nice view and not so terribly obvious.
Some choices of photography are original and interesting and very colorful imbued with "horror vacui" scenarios are sometimes distressing in their "batching", but decidedly painterly and evocative of the time.
Well, one thing that often bothered me was the night scenes, in my opinion too many and incomprehensible (but this can lay the blame at my monitor scrauso) but otherwise the film runs nicely, so much so that the two hours it is made of heavy viewers do not weigh much.
choreographic There is also a very effective use of slow motion and speeding up the action, not used here (at least not so much to be worthy of note) with a dramatic purpose, but to suggest unnatural stunts deadly ninja in the grass in the final battle between the villain and Azumi Bijoumaru is the use of a special dolly (at least I think it's a dolly) that runs around the two challengers, back to back in balance on a wooden beam suggest tension and confusion is a nice trick, but after the first ten seconds to realize that the director should have the audience to throw up> _>
Speaking of slow motion, and connecting this technique in acting, I especially hated the scenes where people die, especially the main characters you have in mind the classic characters emblematic pronounced during the slow death that ends with a "thump" of the body that eventually "like a dead body falls" -? There. I hate these scenes - I'm so false and unnatural, and certainly the Japanese drama (always "stylized", whatever they say) does not help.

The cast includes a slew of Japanese idol, by Aya Ueto in Azumi role up to that great piece of dumpling Hiroki Narimiya emblematic role in Ukiha (I say that is symbolic because it is obvious to Gessai GAY ... Do not blame me, it's true D ':!), I do not think that their acting was so bad: Of course, the Azumi Uetesca is much more "moe" is necessary, Azumi misrepresenting the childish innocence in a more palatable to the male audience, but overall it is not credible as a girl brought up feelings that, unfortunately, feelings will test all right , although it is not able to give it a name.
Joe Odagiri in psicomane Bijoumaru is delicious, terrifying and exhilarating at the same time, I really like this character; _;

would not be a B-movie if we were not delighted with CG effects at random or adulteration DIY: the classic effect of ninja warrior that jumps out from the leaves blown by the wind here is made very well with the 'inclusion of silver flakes in the foliage to amplify the movement, the end of the film we do not miss the spectacular explosions or fires, or, why not swords that catch fire because they were soaked into the fire.
Azumi is also often cited for violent scenes, but in my opinion are not so gruesome - personally I found them relatively realistic, if did not want to linger in suspense nell'espediente (see the slow Bijoumaru discovers that he was beheaded - keep screaming even after the head has fallen off the body XD) ... I mean, a film famous for defining Azumi " his scenes splatter "seems a bit misleading, too.

In closing, a few words on the soundtrack, but relatively insipid tremendously atrocious in some parts - I am referring to the electric guitar riffs that serve as the opening scenes in which to break especially the cabbasisi Azumi - I understand the modern taste of work, but the overall effect is rather ridiculous!

In essence, a funny and evocative film, stuffed with a little too much action and events in a relatively narrow, but because of what flows nicely and goes for two hours.
I do not know if it is recommended to fans of the genre, because the directing style is quite modern, but fans of the manga will definitely fun.

- I think the film look like a lot of Kamui this Azumi ... Yoichi Sai who send us a good!
